The Asheboro City Schools Education Foundation was established in 1991 by Superintendent Dr. Bob W. Gordon. It is the vision of the Foundation to help ensure that each Asheboro City Schools student achieve the education he/she needs to succeed in an increasingly complex and global society. The Foundation awarded its first scholarships, totaling $2,200, in May of 1993. Since then, the Foundation has awarded more than $75,000 in scholarships to Asheboro High School graduates.
Mission Statement: To provide continuing support of Asheboro City Schools and its educational programs and provide philanthropic opportunities allowing donors to make gifts which will improve the quality of education for students in the Asheboro City Schools.
