Open Doors, Open Hearts: ACS Is Here to Help Displaced Students Continue Learning

Our hearts go out to the families from the western part of the state who have been devastated by Hurricane Helene. In these challenging times, we want impacted families to know that Asheboro is more than just a community—it’s a place where you can find hope and support for your children.

We believe that every student, every day deserves a nurturing environment, no matter the circumstances. If your family has been displaced by the storm and you are seeking shelter in Asheboro, we want you to know that our doors are wide open. We are ready to provide your child with a school home, where their education can continue uninterrupted.

While many uncertainties remain, one thing you can count on is that Asheboro City Schools is here for you. From enrollment assistance to connecting you with vital resources, our team, including our dedicated school social workers, is prepared to support you every step of the way. The first thing to ease concerns is that all ACS students are provided breakfast and lunch at no cost all school year.

For information on how to enroll, or if you need assistance, please contact our Asheboro City Schools Central Office and connect with our Support Services Team at (336) 625-5104. Our Support Services Team can also link you with the ACS Welcome Center, our family information hub, if you want to learn more about our schools. Let us be your beacon of stability at this time.
