Throughout the month, we are highlighting influential and impactful Black leaders. Several members of the ACS staff contributed names and facts of people they believed should be recognized. Catherine Davis, CTE-Health Sciences Teacher at AHS, chose to acknowledge Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings. Ms. Davis is honoring Dr. Landson-Billings because she inspires and advocates for teachers to create inclusive, and meaningful learning experiences for students as a way to increase engagement and academic success.
