Open House
We are excited to see our students! Students and families are invited to attend Open House on Thursday, August 25 from 2-6 PM at each school location. This is the perfect time to meet teachers/staff, get a list of school supplies, as well as complete child nutrition and transportation request forms.

Literacy at Home: NC Digital Children's Reading Initiative
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Office of Early Learning has released the "Literacy at Home" initiative for students in Pre-K through fifth grade.

At the May meeting of the Asheboro City Board of Education, the Board celebrated a number of student and staff highlights, they heard information reports from district leaders regarding the Academically/Intellectually Gifted (AIG) three-year plan, policies for 30-day review, an update on facilities, and anticipated technology upgrades coming to all ACS classrooms.

Board of Education Approves 2022-2026 Strategic Plan
After four months of public review, the Asheboro City Board of Education took action to approve the district's 2022-2026 Strategic Plan. In addition to updated student-centered goals, the district also revamped it's Mission and Vision statements, as well it's core values through the addition of Belief Statements.

Asheboro City Board of Education Meeting Recap
At the April meeting of the Asheboro City Board of Education, board members approved the 2023-2024 school calendar, the 2022-2026 strategic plan, and voted to keep masks optional for students and staff for another month. The Board also had the opportunity to celebrate students from the McCrary Mustang Lacrosse Team, school-level Teachers of the Year, the Future Chef Competition winner, and a number of student-athletes from the AHS Wrestling Team!
